really enjoyed your Conan session. Your GenCon fan story was laugh-out-loud funny (also brought a tear to my eye). Thanks for that. And the Writing for Comics panel was excellent. Wish there were more of those. I know i missed at least one other with you (i was probably slaying some red Wizards of Thay in the D&D room while my son took on a Tarrasque at another table; we failed, mostly - my son succeeded). I passed your table two or three times but each time you were cheerfully inundated. I've introduced myself before - i teach at York and have often recommend Seneca's Arts and Animation program to my students (i've been working on my daughter for years to look into that program - lotsa natural talent but in need of some structured learning now. A parent can hope.) So, i'm really enjoying all your Conan work and really like the new Savage Sword and your story (which I appreciate knowing more about apropos of you sharing your agonizing writing of it - also very funny). Also, we were teaching some family friends (actually a couple of teenagers recently arrived as refugees from Cairo) and we were able to use a couple of the Young Adventurers guides as the perfect intro to D&D classes - they really are the best thing on our shelves to use as intro material. When i got home Friday evening I thought to grab them for you to sign only to find them already signed by you and your co-writers - nice surprise. I'm pretty sure we picked 'em up at a previous FanExpo. Anyway, it was a good - if super-crowded - FanExpo (just wish there was more D&D and other RPG stuff as well (always putting it in my feedback).

I love hearing all of this, Chris. Thank you so much, again, for the high praise and kind words. It's been an incredible couple of years and I am so pumped for what's coming down the road.

Fan Expo felt busier than ever this year! In past years, it felt like the comics section was getting smaller and quieter every time, but it was booming this go round.

I made it past your table a couple of times, but it was always so busy that I didn't get a chance to say hi! (Glad I got to do so at SDCC.)

Did get to attend the Writing panel that you impromptu moderated though. That was excellent!

Glad you enjoyed the panel and found it helpful.

Yeah, it was pretty steady at my table, which was great in many ways but didn't allow for longer conversations.

Woooowee that is a huge stack to sign! Looks like an absolutely fantastic time with lots of fun people talking about comics, what else could a person need?

About 6 more hours of sleep would be good, but other than that I can't think of anything. ;)

That’s when you bust out the sunglasses and get a Weekend at Bernie’s thing going in between signings.
